mcclintock,-bruce

Bruce M. McClintock, CPA, Chairman of the Board of Directors

Bruce founded McClintock & Associates, P.C. in 1975 and serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the firm. A Certified Public Accountant for over 40 years, Bruce has experience in both the public and private sectors, including eight years with Ernst & Young where he held several positions within the organization’s audit team. He also served as Controller of The Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation and as Treasurer of Bradford Schools. Bruce is a graduate of Lehigh University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and is a member of both the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants.

He serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Pittsburgh and provides fundraising support through his extensive involvement with the nonprofit.

David B. McClintock, CPA, Managing Director

Dave joined McClintock & Associates in 2003 and has been focused on serving postsecondary institutions since that time.  He became Managing Director of the firm in 2017 and continues his focus on new ways to provide value to our clients and identifying efficiencies for the firm.  Clients especially appreciate Dave’s advice related to the 90/10 calculation, composite score projections and when considering acquisitions in the industry.  He is a frequent presenter at industry conferences.  In 2018, Dave joined the advisory board for Career Education Review (CER), a prominent trade publication for leaders in postsecondary education.  Prior to joining McClintock & Associates, Dave held various positions in the investment industry, most recently as an analyst for a large fund of hedge funds.

Dave earned his Master of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from the University of Chicago, and his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Miami University (Ohio).

An active member of the local community, Dave and his family have been supporters of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society holding an annual fundraiser and getting people registered with the national bone marrow registry.  In addition, he is a board member of the Miracle League of the South Hills, board member of his community’s athletic association, and previously served on the board for a local preschool and daycare center.  Dave enjoys traveling with his family and creating new experiences with them.  He also spent many years coaching his children’s teams in baseball, basketball, soccer and hockey.

Ted Blendermann, CPA, CFP, Director

Ted has been affiliated with McClintock & Associates since 1985.  As a Director, Ted provides specialized, high level audit and consulting services to a variety of clients primarily in the education and nonprofit sectors.  Clients value Ted’s technical knowledge on financial reporting under Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).  Ted is responsible for the quality control standards and policies for our staff that provide a basis for the reliable and consistent service, analysis and advice that our firm provides to our clients.  He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Certified Financial Planner designation.  Prior to joining the firm, Ted worked for Deloitte as well as a nonprofit organization Youth Guidance Inc. (now Family Guidance) as an accounting supervisor.

In addition to his professional responsibilities, Ted is an active member of the Pittsburgh community. Currently, Ted is a board member and treasurer for Del Rey Ministries, a nonprofit organization in addition to being an Elder in his church.

Michael T. Wherry, CPA, Director

Michael is a Director within our Audit Department and has over two decades of experience in the public sector.  A Certified Public Accountant, Michael oversees the completion of annual audits (financial statement and student financial aid).  Clients value his views on internal controls and processes, financial reporting under Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), proactive solutions for meeting regulatory covenants, interpretation of standards and regulations, and suggestions to minimize compliance findings in student financial aid audits.

Michael is an active presenter at numerous national conferences and conventions, and holds both American and Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants certifications.  Outside of the firm, he is the Board Treasurer for a nonprofit family health care center in the city of Pittsburgh.

A Pennsylvania State University alumni association lifetime member, Michael enjoys spending time with his friends and family.  A running and outdoors enthusiast, he has completed over 10 marathons and enjoys spending time working in his yard.

Gregory Rinderle, Director

As a Director, Gregory offers many years of public accounting experience.  Clients value his views on internal controls and processes, Title IV regulations, proactive solutions for meeting regulatory covenants, interpretation of regulations, and suggestions to minimize compliance findings in student financial aid audits.  He is a member of several different financial aid associations and is a frequent presenter at conferences.

Gregory earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Finance from Pennsylvania State University.  Outside of work, Gregory enjoys Martial Arts which he has been studying and teaching for over 25 years.  He also likes to spend time with his wife and two boys, camping, riding his ATV, playing baseball, golfing and exercising.  Gregory is active within his community, serving as a board member for Hillside Christian Community and being a youth leader for the past 10 years.

Robert J. Behr, CPA, Senior Manager

A Certified Public Accountant with extensive experience, Rob is a Senior Manager who has worked in both the public and private sectors.  Clients value Rob for his ability to provide a full range of audit and business consulting services including financial statement, Uniform Guidance, and employee benefit plan audits.  He also assists with composite score planning and transaction services for buyers/sellers.  Rob’s background includes nearly five years serving as a Supervising Senior Accountant with KPGM.

Rob holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from Pennsylvania State University, as well as an Advanced Accounting Certificate from Robert Morris University.  He is a member of both the American and Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  Rob is active within his community, volunteering at HEARTH, a nonprofit organization that opens doors for families in crises.  He also serves on the board, as well as the committee for their annual golf outing fundraiser.  In his spare time, Rob enjoys golfing, exercising, travel, and reading books within the Mitch Rapp Series.

Christopher A. Albecker, CPA, Manager

Chris joined McClintock & Associates in 2006 and is a Manager in the firm’s Audit Practice, working extensively with clients in the postsecondary school industry.  He provides a full range of audit and business consulting services including financial statement audits, 90/10 calculation, composite score planning, and Title IV compliance audits.  He is a regular attendee at Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants Emerging CPA events and became a Certified Public Accountant in 2008.

Chris earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Robert Morris University in 2005.  He is a diehard Pittsburgh Penguins fan and season ticket holder.  His favorite activities outside of the office include riding his ATV, golfing, and playing on an adult league hockey team.

Lee Frank, CPA, Manager

Lee is a Manager within the Tax Department and has worked in public accounting most of his professional career.  A Certified Public Accountant, Lee assists clients with both corporate and individual tax planning.  He specializes in dealing with C corporations, flow through tax entities, retirement plans, and high net worth individuals.  Lee held management roles with large regional and local accounting firms, and spent several years within the tax department of a major insurance company.  He is a member of both the American and Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Lee earned three degrees from Duquesne University: a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, a Master of Science in Taxation, as well as a Master of Business Administration with an accounting focus.  He is an avid golfer, and when not in the office enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.

Mike is a Manager within the Tax Department and has numerous years of experience.  He specializes in providing tax, assurance, and accounting services to clients throughout a variety of industries.  A Certified Public Account, and a member of both the American and Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Mike is extremely knowledgeable in the areas of corporate, S corporation, partnership and individual taxation.  He deals with both tax-exempt and nonprofit organizations, as well as IRS and state audit representation.

Mike earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University.  A father of three, Mike enjoys attending his kids sporting events.  He also volunteers with fundraising activities for the Park Elementary School PTO, Steel Valley High School Boys Soccer Boosters, and Steel Valley Soccer Club.

The culture are McClintock & Associates has allowed me to adjust my schedule so that I do not have to miss my kids events.

Maxine Riddle

Maxine C. Riddle, MBA, CPA, Manager

Maxine is a Manager within the Tax Department and has wide-ranging proficiency in many areas of taxation.  She has extensive experience in providing federal and multi-state tax compliance, planning, and research for corporations, partnerships, LLCs, high net worth individuals, trusts, and exempt organizations.  Maxine has held management positions with regional Certified Public Accounting firms and has experience as a controller in private industry.

Maxine received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music and Master of Business Administration from Duquesne University.  She is a member of both the American and Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  Maxine enjoys spending time with her family, taking classes in new subjects, and attending as many concerts as possible.

Lori Stanley, Manager

Lori oversees the completion of over 30 compliance audits on an annual basis in addition to performing technical reviews on other compliance audits.  She leads the student financial aid task force, which is charged with all aspects of the firm’s compliance audits including best practices, training/continuing education, technical research, and new regulation.

Lori grew up in the eastern suburbs of Pittsburgh.  In addition to her professional responsibilities, Lori enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

Thomas R. Wilson, CPA, Manager

Tom is a Manager within our Audit Department and specializes in conducting financial statement audits.  Clients value Tom for his expertise with Title IV compliance, 90/10 calculation, and composite score planning.  He provides business consulting services to various industries, but specializes in the for-profit education and service based entity fields.

A Certified Public Accountant and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Tom’s background includes nine years with Beard Miller Company, LLP, who acquired Edwards Sauer & Owens, P.C.  He is a graduate from Mercyhurst College where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting.

In addition to his professional responsibilities, Tom is an active member of the Pittsburgh community.  He served as the treasurer of his son’s Cub Scouts organization, and is actively involved in coaching his son’s hockey and basketball teams.

Callie earned both her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Waynesburg University.  Outside of the office, Callie enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Jackie is a Supervisor within the firm’s Tax Department and brings several years of experiencing providing tax services across numerous industries.  She specializes in tax planning, compliance, and research for corporations, partnerships and individuals.  Jackie became a Certified Public Accountant in 2010, and is also a member of both the American and Pennsylvania Institute of Public Accountants.  Her background prior to joining the firm includes time spent in automotive, manufacturing and real estate industries, including 10 years with a Top 100 regional accounting firm.

Jackie earned her Master of Science Degree in Taxation from Robert Morris University, and her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting and Business Administration from Thiel University.  Outside of the office, she enjoys cooking healthy meals and finding new recipes with her CSA produce.  She also enjoys swimming and biking outdoors, as well as spending time with her family.

A graduate from Robert Morris University with a degree in Accounting, Angela is also a QuickBooks ProAdvisor and Treasurer for Chartiers Valley Hockey club.  In her free time, she enjoys watching her boys play hockey and baseball, and is a big Pittsburgh Penguins fan.

Luke joined McClintock & Associates in 2013 and was promoted to Supervisor in 2018.  He possesses great knowledge of Title IV compliance, especially as it relates to student eligibility, gainful employment, cash management, and the Clery Act.  Clients value his experience in postsecondary education, and Luke is a valuable commodity when it comes to carrying out compliance audits.  Prior to joining McClintock & Associates, Luke worked within the Financial Services department at South University Online.

A graduate of Geneva College with a degree in Music, Luke enjoys spending time with his family and is a certified foster/adoptive parent.  He also plays the guitar and enjoys learning new instruments.

A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Accounting and Finance, Tyler enjoys outdoor recreation.  He golfs in the summer and volunteers as a youth basketball coach during the winter months.

Kim Cravotta

Kim is a Senior Accountant in the firm’s Audit Department focusing primarily on federal student aid compliance audits.  Prior to joining the firm, Kim worked as a financial aid administrator at the University of Pittsburgh, The Art Institute of Pittsburgh Online, and UPMC’s School of Nursing gaining eight years of experience.  She also had memberships with Pennsylvania Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators and National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators.

Kim received a Bachelor's Degree in International Business with a concentration in Finance from Johnson & Wales University, and a Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of Pittsburgh.  Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and puppy.  Kim loves to travel to new places and make handmade crafts.

Matt earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Financial Planning from Ohio State University, and holds a Certificate of Accounting from Carlow University.  Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter.  He is a sports enthusiast, playing basketball and softball, and supporting the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Eric earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Ohio State University.  He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  Eric is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hunting, fishing, and camping.  He spends much of his free time in his garage maintaining his historic jeep, and is a fanatical follower of Ohio State football.

Dwayne joined McClintock & Associates in October of 2017 as a Staff Accountant to focus on Financial Aid Compliance Audits.  Prior to joining the firm, he worked for the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency and numerous Pennsylvania colleges in their student financial aid departments, gaining 10 plus years of experience in postsecondary education and Title IV rules and regulations.  Dwayne graduated from Pennsylvania  State University with a Bachelor of Science in Information Science and Technology.

Matt joined McClintock & Associates in September 2018 as a Staff Accountant within the firm’s Audit Department.  He will be specializing in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial aid compliance audits.

Matt graduated from Slippery Rock University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and previously worked at a software company.  During that time, he completed the Certified Public Accountant exam.  Matt looks forward to expanding his knowledge of accounting and the higher education industry.

Rachel joined McClintock & Associates in September of 2018 as a Staff Accountant within the firm’s Audit Department.  She has had internship experiences working for the Department of State in both the Fraud Prevention Unit and Financial Management Center.

Rachel is a graduate of Waynesburg University, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting while also being recognized by the College Sports Information Directors of America as an Academic All-American in basketball.  She is currently studying for the Certified Public Accountant exams and enjoys playing music in her free time.

Mallory Peterson

Mallory joined McClintock & Associates in January 2018 as a Staff Accountant in the firm’s Audit Department.  She has experience working on both the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and federal student aid audits for nonprofit organizations and postsecondary educational institutions.  Her prior experience includes working in the accounting departments at Houghton College and UPMC.

Mallory earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Business Administration from Houghton College, and a Forensic Accounting Certificate from Carlow University.  In her free time, she enjoys watching any major league baseball game, but prefers to attend and cheer for the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Peter joined McClintock & Associates in July 2018 as a Staff Accountant in the firm’s Tax Department.  Prior to joining the firm, his experience included preparing individual and business tax returns and performing compilations, reviews, and audits for CliftonLarsonAllen.  He is currently studying for the Certified Public Accountant exams.

Peter earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  Outside of work, Peter enjoys playing rugby and is an avid baseball fan.

Susan serves as the Controller and has numerous years of banking experience in both Controller and Accounting Policy Manager roles.  She has provided accounting and bookkeeping services to small businesses, nonprofit companies, and Big Four accounting firms.  Susan is an inactive Certified Public Accountant whose knowledge within QuickBooks and Excel enables her to oversee all billing within the firm.

Susan enjoys spending her free time at home scrapbooking and reading historical fiction and non-fiction on the topic of the Holocaust.  She also participates in her neighborhood book club.

J. D. Hurley

J.D. Hurley, Firm Administrator

J.D. joined McClintock & Associates in 2018 as the Firm Administrator.  He contributes to both the Tax and Audit departments, assisting with project reporting and resource planning.  J.D. also manages the Administrative team and oversees the day-to-day activity within the firm.  He handles various aspects of Human Resources, office management, and social media for the firm.  J.D.’s background includes time in the nonprofit and consulting fields, having served in project support and administrative oversight roles.

A graduate from the University of Pittsburgh, J.D. holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Writing and Communications.  Outside of the firm, J.D. enjoys spending time with his family and is a sports enthusiast.  He enjoys running and playing ice hockey, and is a big fan of the New Jersey Devils and New York Mets.

Jody has been a member of the McClintock & Associates administrative team since 2004.  She provides support to both the audit and tax departments, specializing in report preparation and client communication.  Prior to joining the firm, she worked various administrative and support roles for a computer networking and distribution company.  She has also held positions as a buyer, inventory control supervisor and office manager.

Jody holds an Associate’s degree in Computer Operations from the School of Computer Technology.  In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her (large) extended family.

Wendy is a Senior Administrative Assistant and has been with McClintock & Associates since 2004.  She is a skilled proof reader, and assists with both the standardization of deliverables and documentation of efficient processes.  Wendy’s background includes 10 years as a buyer for Westinghouse, and 7 years providing administrative assistance within the manufacturing industry.

Wendy is a graduate from Pennsylvania State University, having earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing.  She enjoys refinishing vintage furniture and upcycling vintage jewelry, while also frequenting the gym for fitness classes.

My favorite aspect of my job is the team approach utilized within the administrative staff at McClintock & Associates.  This team approach reduces the stress of busy times as we know that we can depend on each other to help.

Robin joined McClintock & Associates in 2014 as an Administrative Assistant.  She helps to support all staff with coordinating logistics as they relate to travel, conferences, and other unique requests.  Robin has a diverse background in purchasing and office administration, having previously worked as a Buyer and Office Manager.

Robin was a former attendee of the Uniontown National Travel School and is a current member of the Pennsylvania Association of Notaries.  She enjoys hiking, camping, and kayaking, as well as spending time with her family and friends.

As an Administrative Assistant, Diane provides a wide array of support services.  She works closely with our Tax department to help complete reports, maintain records, and handle other logistics related to various tax returns.  Diane also contributes to the general upkeep of the office and is frequently interacting with clients.  Prior to joining the firm, Diane worked as a deduction analyst for a consumer healthcare organization.  She has also spent time in the real estate, food processing, and city government fields.

When not at work, Diane enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
