Michael Shipman, Ed. D., CPA
Supervisor
Michael (Mike) is a Supervisor within the Tax Department and has worked both in public accounting and academia throughout his professional career. Prior to joining McClintock & Associates, he worked in corporate taxation for PwC before teaching accounting at the Pennsylvania College of Technology and Mount Aloysius College. Mike has substantial experience in providing tax planning and compliance services to corporations and passthrough tax entities. He also has unique experience with providing tax services to individuals through running two different IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) programs.
Mike is passionate about financial and educational literacy. He is a member of both the American and Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and sits on the Board of the Directors for the Pennsylvania Head Start Association (PHSA). Outside of work, he enjoys sports, tv, movies, and time with friends and family. Whether in Pittsburgh or traveling elsewhere, Mike enjoys new restaurants and activities.
