: Tax Director

The job responsibilities of the Tax Director include, but are not limited to:
- Retains current business relationships with focus on high customer value
- Oversees workflow, software usage, and tax process
- Owns client tax planning and customer service
- Stays current on tax organization knowledge and skills
- Willing to provide timely feedback to staff and clients
- As part of the leadership team, overall focus on firm management, tax department oversight, and future success of the firm
- Creates or co-creates thought leadership content such as articles (industry related), webinars, etc.
- Communicates clear direction internally to staff
- Demonstrates our core values
- Develops network contacts and resources
- Monitors department utilization and profit margins including pricing structure
- Develops staff and coordinates departmental training
- Manages vendor relationships and coordinates outsourcing options
- Conducts annual performance evaluations for staff
- Balances appropriate workload for each staff member, providing opportunities for growth and development while remaining true to our core values
- 5+ years leadership experience
- 10 years’ experience in the public accounting industry
- Corporate and individual tax services experience
- Masters in Tax
- Business development experience
